According to the 41 CFR 301-11.303, "The maximum amount that you may be reimbursed under actual expense is limited to 300 percent (rounded to the next higher dollar) of the applicable maximum per diem rate. However, subject to your agency's policy, a lesser amount may be authorized." This is where the conference is being held and this venue did not have the $147/night available. This hotel was the only hotel in the area where it could meet our general meeting capacities as well as have floor space for exhibits.

Our block of rooms, which was set a 100/night, has been reached. This was for the $219/night conference rate. There are remaining rooms in the hotel, the price will be higher. There are other hotels nearby that are within walking distance to the Marriott Savannah Riverfront.
